The Victoria & Albert museum opens the doors to Ballgowns: British Glamour since 1950s exhibition on 19 May. The exhibition will showcase more than 60 ballgowns from 1950 to the present day, and will be the first exhibition in the newly renovated Fashion Galleries.
From beautiful ballgowns, red carpet evening gowns and catwalk showstoppers, the exhibition will show them all. Displayed over two floors, Ballgowns will show specially made designs for social events such as private parties, royal state occasions and debutante balls. Designers on show will include Catherine Walker, Jonathan Saunders, Alexander McQueen and many more.
Ballgowns is sponsored by Coutts, which has a long history of championing the fashion industry.
